Meet Lisa
Lisa is the owner and manager of Abernathy Farm. She has a passion for horses, teaching, and the farm as a whole.
She started riding with a birthday party at age 4 and by the time she was 6, she had her first horse. She grew up in a traditional farming family and she was responsible for feeding and caring for her horse from the start. She was an active member in Gaston county 4-H throughout her childhood, which she accredits with her vast equine knowledge.
As an adult she discovered her passion for teaching. She worked in the school system for 9 years before eventually building enough business to work on the farm as her full time job.
Lisa is a bubbly, enthusiastic, instructor and tries to make learning fun and rewarding for all levels of riders.
